Gallery Hallway

When we moved into our home over a year ago I was so excited to have pictures hanging up in the hallway. I told my hubby I was going to fill it up and he thought I was crazy, LOL. It only took over a year but I finally have my hallway done and I'm so happy with it! It turned out great and my hubby did so much work hanging everything up for me. This was a big project and took months for me to get all the frames and decide what pictures I wanted and to find different quotes to hang up, but finally it all came together and I'm happy to share with you!

This was the first wall to be done.

This saying we like but I think we are going to find a different one to hang up. Only because this one you can see the clear sticker and with the other ones on the wall they look better and more like a sticker or painted writing on the wall. Hopefully that makes sense. LOL

I don't know if you can tell but in this one you can't see any clear matting like from the one above. This is what we want the one above to look like. It looks much better in our opinion.

This is my little wall for Senior pictures. This year we will be adding our niece Sydney to this wall. Now that's just crazy talk!

"W" wine cork project

I have finally finished my first wine cork project! I found this project on Pinterest awhile ago and thought it was so cute and wanted to do it for our dining room. I finally decided to get around to making it a few months ago and we finally got it glued and hung out this part week. It turned out really cute, now I'm looking forward to my next cork project. We didn't do the corks like the one on pinterest b/c the W we got we would have been collecting them FOREVER, so we decided to cute the corks in half and I think this way better.

Homemade Canvas Pictures

I found an easy way to make canvas pictures on pinterest awhile back. I thought these would be cute to make and hang some pictures above our bed. I made these back in August and finally we had a little time to get these hung up in the bedroom. I'm very happy with how these turned out and I look forward to making more of these! I was really amazed at how easy these were to make and when you go to buy them online they are so expensive! I got all the stuff I needed from Hobby Lobby expect the pictures I printed those from Shutterfly.

Items needed: 12x12 paint canvas, 12x12 pictures, a saying (or you can do all pictures), Modge Podge

Make sure to get a good layer of modge podge on the canvas before laying down the picture. After I put the picture on I turned the canvas over and put something heavy on top so it would dry good. I let mine set for a couple days but I'm sure at least a day is good if not a few hours or something.

Here they are hung up in the bedroom! Love them!

I'm so glad these are finally up after a couple months of just sitting in the house. But we had other things going on so these had to wait. :)

Christmas Lights!!

One thing I was so excited for this Christmas was putting up lights on the house! I haven't been able to put up lights forever and I couldn't wait to this year. When Shane decided to put up the lights (Thanksgiving weekend) it was such a nice day outside and we both were thankful that it was super cold and snowing. I'm sure someday we will experience that though...well maybe...LOL

 I love it! My hubby did a great job. Next year he wants to do the top peak too. 

I love coming home at night and see our light all lite up and our Christmas tree in the window! 

Putting up the Tree...

I was so excited to put up a tree this year b/c we got a new big one. When we were in the townhouse we had a big tree when we first moved in but then we had to retire it, it was old. LOL. So we decided just to get a little one since we didn't really have a ton of room for a big tree. So now that we are in our house we were able to go out and buy a new big tree! I was super excited and couldn't wait to set it up. The day after Thanksgiving I pulled it out and we got it up and looking pretty!

 It look us a few weeks to finally find a tree topper , but we found one! Isn't it super cute. I love all snowman stuff so this was prefect for our tree.

Gifts On Display....

As we were getting ready for Christmas and I was getting ideas of how to decorate everything...there was one spot I hadn't thought about until one day I was looking above our coat closet and said we are going to need Christmas stuff up there too! I was thinking of ideas and finally came up with boxes wrapped as gifts with big bows on them! It would be the perfect spot for them. :) 

So I gathered some different size boxes. Bought some cute wrapping paper and bows. 

 Then wrapped them all up nice and pretty! :) 

And he they are being displayed. Aren't they cute! There are candle holders all around the top ones with red candles and ones with snow in them. 

Christmas Decorating

I've been so excited for Christmas this year! Our first Christmas in our new house, so exciting! We have bought lots of new stuff for the house. The day after Thanksgiving we pulled everything and decorated the house for Christmas time!

Tis the Season!!

Thanksgiving Decorating

Halloween has now passed and it was time to take down the decorations and put up Thanksgiving stuff! I didn't plan on putting up Thanksgiving decorations till today but that instead I put them up Thursday night while Shane was making pizza for us. I got all the Halloween stuff down and Thanksgiving up. I was very happy how all my decorations turned out!

Halloween Decorating!!

One thing that I was excited for when we bought a house was the decorating for the holiday's! Halloween is the first holiday we get to decorate for and we both were excited to do this. We put the indoor decorations up at the beginning of October but this part weekend we just put up the ones for outside and bought pumpkins for our porch. 

This is our front table right when you walk in the front door. I look forward to adding stuff to this next year.

Outside in the front yard. We had most of the stuff we put out from last year but we did get a couple new things this year. The thumb "I'm coming for you" is new and the zombie hands are also new. We are going to expand on this next year I hope! But we will prolly have to find somewhere new for it b/c I'm hoping to have flowers and bushed planted there in the Spring!  

 Our first pumpkins in our new home. I'm not sure how long it's been since I bought a pumpkin! I was so excited to get them this year. We haven't decided if we want to leave as is or carve them....

That ends the Halloween decorating this year. I can't wait to see how many trick or treaters we get. I think I'm going to make candy goodies bags this year to hand out.
