Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!!
I hope you all have a safe and fun time with the kids trick-or-treating!
Shane and I will be passing out candy again this year, so we will get to see all the cute kids dressed up.
We passed out candy last night and with it be the first year in our house we weren't sure how many kids we would get. We bought some candy and made treat bags, but we did run out pretty fast. So, this year we made a bunch more, hopefully we don't run out again. Haha!

Here are the treat bags we made Monday night.

Halloween Costume Party

Halloween has become one of Shane and I favorite holiday. We bought some new decorations once we got moved into our house and we plan on adding more as the years come!
We decided this year to have a Halloween Costume Party. We both were very excited for this and got our costume like a month or so early. We kinda went all out but it was so worth it, I loved my costume.

We got a scene setter for our formal living area. It was pretty cool. :)

This was kinda my photo area of where I took pictures of everyone.
I was a vampire. I loved how my costume came together. My nails I got from Wal-Mart didn't last very long. HaHa but that's what I get for buying $3 fake nails. They were cool why they lasted.
Up close of my eyes and fangs!

Shane was a werewolf. I loved his costume as well. It was awesome!
Up close of eyes and fangs. His eyes were freaky!!
Dang werewolf trying to kill me! LOL ;)
Isn't she the cutest Cabbage Patch Kid ever! Well I think she is. :)

We had a great time at our party and we are hoping to make it a yearly thing at The Wickliffe house!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!!
I hope all the kids have fun Trick-or-Treating tonight!!

I'm looking forward to see how many kids we get at our new home!! We made candy goodies bags this year.

Be safe and have fun tonight!!

Photography Assignment: Scary Portrait

This week the assignment was Scary Portrait. What a great assignment with Halloween right around the corner! Shane and I had a Halloween costume party so I went though the pictures taken and picked on out that could be used.

Shane was a werewolf for Halloween. I did some editing to this picture to make it a little more Halloween themed. :)

Halloween Decorating!!

One thing that I was excited for when we bought a house was the decorating for the holiday's! Halloween is the first holiday we get to decorate for and we both were excited to do this. We put the indoor decorations up at the beginning of October but this part weekend we just put up the ones for outside and bought pumpkins for our porch.

This is our front table right when you walk in the front door. I look forward to adding stuff to this next year.
Our wreath for the front door. Shane's sister made this for us and it turned out so cute! I can't wait for one for Thanksgiving and Christmas :)
The center of the dining room table
I love the table runner! We seen it at Target and both had to have it!
This is above our fireplace in the living room.
Candle holder with candy corn and a black candle. Idea from Pinterest, Thanks!
Outside in the front yard. We had most of the stuff we put out from last year but we did get a couple new things this year. The thumb "I'm coming for you" is new and the zombie hands are also new. We are going to expand on this next year I hope! But we will prolly have to find somewhere new for it b/c I'm hoping to have flowers and bushed planted there in the Spring!
Our first pumpkins in our new home. I'm not sure how long it's been since I bought a pumpkin! I was so excited to get them this year. We haven't decided if we want to leave as is or carve them....

That ends the Halloween decorating this year. I can't wait to see how many trick or treaters we get. I think I'm going to make candy goodies bags this year to hand out.

Pumpkin Beer

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day!!

About a week or so ago we went out with some friends and Shane ordered a pumpkin beer. He asked if I wanted to try it and I did and to my surprise I really liked it! Now if you know me you know I'm not a big beer drinker. There are just a few I like and Bud Light is my go to beer always. So, me liking a new beer really came to a shock. I always try Shane's beer and I never like them, Gross!
Last week we stopped and got a 6 pack of it so we could enjoy it. I'm really liking this beer and I wish they would have it all year round, but I guess now I will have something new to look forward to every fall!!
I've only tried one brand of pumpkin beer so, I guess it's time to branch out and try other brands to see if I like them!

As I try more I will try and post them on here to see if I liked them or not and share. :)

Halloween Time

I can't believe that October is here and it's almost half way through the month. It's crazy how fast this year has gone. With October here that means it's Halloween time! I have been really wanting to decorate each holiday around the house, I have seen lots of fun stuff around in the stores! So this year for Halloween we decorated a little outside and inside the house. We didn't get to carried away....but that will come when we have a house and will have room for much more decorations! This weekend we will be getting pumpkins for our porch, it's been forever since I had pumpkins outside for Halloween.

Once the pumpkins are out there then we will be set for Halloween!
