Congrats To The New Sailor Nick!!

In January my sister's boyfriend went off to join the Navy. Shane and I were very proud of him for joining! I'm sure something like that is scary to do with leaving for so long not seeing your family, friends, girlfriend of whoever. I would be freaked out for sure! But Nick had the courage to take the step and join and for that we couldn't be more happy for him! We do miss him!! 

Last weekend he graduated from boot camp!! Shane and I wished we could have gone down to Chicago to watch him graduate but it just didn't work out for us. My sister did go down with Nick's dad so she got to see him after 3 month, so was so happy and couldn't wait! 

For his graduation gift I decided to make him a Navy frame. 

Congrats to the new Sailor Nick!! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see you when you get home!! 

Happy 19th Birthday Kasey!!

Today my baby sister turns 19 today!! I want to wish her a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Her gift from mother nature today was a TON of snow AGAIN! I'm sure he is just loving being stuck in the house on her birthday doing nothing. LOL

We had the family over Sunday night for her celebration. We made dinner, did gifts and had ice cream cupcakes (recipe to come soon....). We had a good time and she got lots of goodies

I wanted to keep her pretty flowers but she said no :(

 The yummy meal that Shane and I made for the family.  Kasey wanted Manocotti, so we made that and Spagetti and Shane made homemade garlic breadsticks. Yum!

On Valentine's Day my Mom had her birthday but I didn't post about it.

 Last Thursday was my Grandma's birthday. She also got snow for her birthday. LOL

My sister in law Jordann turned 24 on Wednesday. The family got together Friday night to celebrate, we had chili for dinner and a yummy chocolate cake that was homemade. We had a good time hanging with the family and celebrating Jo's bday!

Kasey's Graduation Day!

My sister did it! On May 20th my sister got to walk across the stage and graduate High School from Staley. I'm so proud of her! It feels crazy to have both my brother and sister out of high school and in the real world. Still doesn't seem like it should be real. LOL. I'm so proud of them both!

My sister has grown up so much in the past few years. I have really enjoyed watching her grow into such a wonderful young lady and I can't wait to continue to watch her grow! She will be attending Maple Woods college in the fall for general education right now. She isn't sure what she wants to be just yet.

Kasey's Graduation Party

Last Saturday Shane and I hosted my sister Kasey's Graduation Party. It was a nice day outside to host this except the wind was so strong. We planned on sitting everything up at the park behind our place and have it down there. We got everything set up and ready and the wind just keep blowing everything around and off the tables, so we decided to move everything inside and we just hung out in the back of our place.

We had a ton of food, hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, pasta salad and chips. We have a ton of leftovers even after sending food home with people.

The party turned out good! I had a good time hanging out with family and meeting some of Kasey's friends.

This certificate is for the A+ program she did. She will be attending Maple Wood Community College in the fall.

Our neighbors were having a party too and they made a slip-n-slide. So one of the kids there wanted to go down it. It worked pretty good for a homemade one. Haha :)

Jordann's College Graduation

On May 5th 2012 my sister in law graduated from COLLEGE! I'm so proud of her and am so glad I was there to share this special day with her. :) 

Jordann graduated from UCM in Warrensburg with a degree in Bachelor of Science Psychology. 

Last weekend was very busy with all her graduation stuff but so worth it! Saturday was graduation day and we drove an hour down to Warrensburg to watch her walk across that stage and receive her degree! After that we headed back to home and went out to dinner to celebrate. Shane and I didn't get home till about 9pm and we left the house about 11:40am. It was a long day for us but we had a good time. 

Sunday we got up and headed over to dad's house to get ready for Jordann's graduation party.

There was a ton of hamburgers and hot dogs that needed cook so Shane hoped on that to get them all ready. He needed some help since there was a ton of food. I stepped up and helped him out on the grill, I grilled for the first time ever! Yes it was only hot dogs but still I grilled something. I did pretty good at it if I do say so myself. :) Her party was fun we got the hang out with the family and meet some of her friends. 

She is going to take a semester off  then she will go back for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 

She just has a year and half left to go to get that! 

Kasey's Senior Prom!

A few weeks ago my sister who is graduating High School went to her Senior Prom. She was very excited about this and I was too. I was excited to see her all dressed and everything! That is one thing I do miss about high school is all the dances, buying a new dress, getting your hair done and getting all dressed up to have a fun night. I still have all my dresses from my dances but lord knows they won't fit anymore. LOL 

Anyways...My sister found her dress months before prom and I just loved it when she showed it to me. She looked so pretty in it and her skinny butt just makes everything look good. :) 

She got her dress at David's Bridal.. I think it fit her prefect! So pretty!

The day of prom she went and got her hair done then I meet up with her so we could make sure to get lots of pictures of her and her friends. She wanted to do pictures at Hodge Park. I think this was a great spot for prom pictures, and so did the whole school. LOL. When we got there, there were TONS of people there from her school doing pictures as well. We made sure to stay clear of them. Haha. 

We did pictures for about an hour then headed back to Nick's house (Kasey's boyfriend) because that is where the limo was picking them up at. Then they headed off to dinner and the prom!

I was so happy to be apart of this with her. I loved seeing her all dressed she was just so beautiful!! Well she always is beautiful but even more that night. :) 

The group pictures didn't turn out the best but some of them were good. It was a challenge to get good pictures when there were like 4 or 5 other people there trying to take pictures of the same group. So getting them to look at one camera was a mess. In some pictures some people were looking at the camera and some weren't. It was crazy but all turned out well. :)

Now the next step to ending her Senior year is graduation day. May 20th 2012 @ 5pm Staley High School.
