Happy 18th Birthday to my Sister Kasey!!

Last weekend my little sister turned the big 18 on Sunday the 26th. I can't believe she is so grown up! She will be graduating in May and it's hard to believe that both my younger brother and sister will be out of school and entering the real world! How time flies by and they grow so fast. I'm very proud of Kasey I have watched her grow and change in so many ways. She has grown into such a good little woman. I'm very proud of her and how she has turned out. Love you sissy!! :)

We celebrated her birthday on Saturday with the family. We had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. We just did gifts and cake there after we ate lunch. She got lots of goodies for her birthday!

Some of us went in together and got her a digital camera

I hope she had a wonderful birthday and enjoyed all her gifts!
This ends another birthday year for my little sis. Until next year when she grows even more. LOL

Craft Organization

I continue on my organization of our house. Last week I started working on my craft stuff to make things easier to find and see in the cabinet. I found some really cool things at Hobby Lobby to better organize my stuff. I got a few items on sale and I was super excited about this. I love sales and getting stuff cheaper than normal. :) I don't have an actual craft room right now I just have stuff in our dining room and bedroom. I use the dining table that is in there to work on projects. We don't ever eat in the dining room for many reason, we don't have chairs for our table and we like to watch TV why we eat. LOL But once we get a house I want a nice dining room table and to have my own craft room so it's not just out for everyone to see. HAHA. I used to have a craft room in our basement when we moved in the townhouse but after Kira decided to get through the door and mess my room up I decided it wasn't worth it to have it down there. I put a lot of money into building my collection and I don't want the dog to mess it up and I have to throw stuff away. I could prolly get away with moving it back down there b/c we now keep her in a kennel, but it just seems so far to walk down there to work on stuff. Sometimes I hate that our washer and dryer are down there. I know silly but I'm sure many of you know the feeling of up and down the stair to do laundry. But most definitely when we start shopping for a house we will make sure to have a nice place for me for my crafts and my photography. I can't wait! I hate just have stuff everywhere and not all together and looking nice. It drives me nutty!

Before...I liked the little divders but they didn't hold a lot so I would have to buy many of them.
After....This wasn't the original organizer I bought for card stock. The first one I got I just loved and was super excited for it but once I got it together it didn't go together right and the shelves didn't fit. I was very disappointed about this. So Shane and I took it back while we were out last weekend and I was looking for something else but didn't see anything, so I asked him he is seen anything that would work and he found this bad boy! I do like this organizer and I can buy more and they will stack together.
Before...This was all my brads and stuff.
After...I got this at hobby lobby and it would great so I can see everything I have now!
After now I have a little caddy I can just pull out and sit on the table when needed.
Before....I had all my stickers just in a shoe box and it was so messing to go through every time I need to see if I had a certain one or not.
After....I found this bad boy at Hobby Lobby for 50% off and I was so excited about it. I couldn't pass it up it was prefect for all my stickers I have.  So much easier to loo through now. Doesn't it look so nice now?!?

I still have some stuff I want to organize for my crafts but not sure I can do much more till we move and I have my own room with a desk! I can't wait! :)

Book: Catching Fire

I just finished The Hunger Games today and started book number 2 of the trilogy. I really enjoyed the first book and towards maybe the middle I was having a very hard time putting the book down. I just wanted to keep reading but I knew I had to make myself stop so I could go to bed or do other things. LOL. I have been reading on both my breaks and lunchtime at work. I know silly but I can't help it I can't wait to find out what's next in the books. When I have been reading I do find myself losing track of time.

I'm already on chapter 3 of the 2nd book and I'm having a hard time putting this book down as well. If I could just stay home and read I would be a very happy girl, but I guess we need to work and make money. Haha.

I can't wait till bedtime so I  can read some more in my book!! I sounds like a dork but I don't care. Haha!

Baby Shower for Button!!

Last weekend I attend a friends baby shower. She will be 33 weeks this week and looks so cute prego. I love it! Her and her husband decided not to find out what they were having and it's driving me crazy!! I want to know so bad what is inside her belly. I'm not sure if I could handle not knowing what I was having because I would want to shop and have the room all girly (pink) or all boy stuff (blue). Not being able to shop for a certain thing would drive me nutty. Haha. But I guess some people like that surprise, but I know for sure I would want to know. :)
Her baby shower turned out so cute and of course lots of goodies for little button when he or she arrives. I took a lot of pictures at the shower. She had a lot of fun opening all her gifts and seeing all the cute things people got for button. I loved some of her expressions on her face.

Goodies to take home for the guest

They are doing the baby room in Owls. Isn't this cake too cute?!
I believe more gifts came after I took this picture.

Valentine's Day

Shane and I decided to celebrate our Valentine's Day on Sunday instead of during the week. We started off morning by going to Nebraska Furniture Mart and getting us a wine opener. We have really been enjoying wine lately so we decided we needed a good opener. We found a nice little kit there for $20 and I even had a 20 gift card so we didn't spend anything out of pocket for that, Sweet! We also decided to get the first season The Big Bang Theory to watch after we were done running around. We have been trying to find the first season for a while now and finally found it! This show is so funny! After NFM we headed over to the grocery store and got that out of the way.
We got home and got showered and ready for our Valentine's Day dinner at where else Texas Roadhouse, our favorite steak house EVER!! It was so good! I can't wait to go back and eat there again. :) I could eat there everyday if we could afford it. Maybe when we will the power ball one day. Haha!
After dinner we went to Target and got us a little treat to have later that evening. I got a slice cookies n cream cake and Shane got a slice of white cake with white frosting, his favorite. Then we just headed home to relax and watch the big bang theory. It was nice day/evening with my hubby.

Our gifts ready to open!
I got Shane a pocket watch
 The inside of it
He got me a pretty new necklace! I love it
We got Kira some new fun bones. He loved this and ate in like 5mins. LOL
Our dessert and wine. It was very yummy!!

I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day. I know we have good one! :)

Jordann's Birthday!!

Last Saturday we celebrated my sister Jordann's 23rd birthday. The family headed over to dad's house for dinner, cake, gifts and family time. Shannon made wings and potato salad for dinner it was pretty good. I don't like potato salad so I just enjoyed some wings. Stefanie made her birthday cake and it was amazing! So yummy! It was different I have never had but it was so good, it was chocolate cake with caramel inside and topped with cool whip as the frosting. Wow awesome! I think I will have to make this again but when we have people over so I don't eat the whole thing. LOL

More Organization....

I have been moving right along with getting things organized and looking good! I'm loving it. At the beginning of January I did some cleaning of our bedroom closet and organized things around. I'm a little late about posting on this but now is better then never right?! :)

Between Shane and I we have a good amount of books and they were just put in our linen closet but we finally ran out of room in there too put anymore. I have been a reading fool lately so it was getting piled with books. So I decided I would make room in our closet to put the books up. We had a shelf that was good for it and we really didn't need it after I did some cleaning. As of now that is our little book shelf. When we do get a house I definitely want to invest in a nice book shelf to store all our wonderful books. We might grow out of this space soon but I will fight that battle when we reach it. LOL. Also, in the closet I hung all of Shane's hats up. I didn't like them just hanging downstairs on the railing, so I got some thumbtacks and hung these babies up. I think it turned out nice.

When I joined pinterest I found this idea to see if you wear your clothes throughout the year. I forget where I seen it (yes I forgot to pin it), but I'm sure it's not hard  to find. Sunday I decided I would do this and see how it turns out at the end of the year. I turned all my hanger around and every time I wear something I will hang it the opposite of the other hangers. Once the new year comes and all the hangers that are still backwards then I will get rid of it. I know this should have been started January 1 but it's better late then never to get things organized, right? :)

So here are all my hangers turned and ready for me to start wearing. :)

My New Do....

I mentioned in my post last week about my big change I was going to do this week. I went Monday night and got my hair done. This time I decided it was time to change things up and totally redo my look. I was super nervous about this but after it was all done it turned out cute. It will take some getting used to but it does look cute.
I didn't tell Shane what I was going to do to my hair he just knew I was getting it done. So when I came home his was like "Oh Wow!" lol but he said he liked it it will just take some getting used to.
I looked forward to playing with my hair and see what cute styles I can do with it. I'm not that creative or good with hair so it prolly won't be much. LOL

I also got my eye brows waxed for the 1st time....That didn't feel so good. Haha. My poor brows were a little swollen and super red.

Here are some pictures of my before look:

And here the after pictures.....
This isn't the best picture of me but it will do for now. LOL I will try and post some better ones when I get a chance to play around with my hair.

Hope you all like. It's definitely different for me. This is the first time I have ever dyed my whole head.
