Jewelry Organized

In my 2012 goals I wanted to get things organized in our house. I have been doing one room at a time trying to do what I can to keep things looking nice and neat. I found this really cute idea to organize jewelry over at Sonya's blog. So I thought I would do this in my bedroom with my jewelry. I had a jewelry box with stuff in in and I also just had necklaces in the boxes they came in. Not every organized at all! So when I seen this idea I loved it and wanted to do it myself. This past weekend we when to target and I found the hook rail and hooks I wanted to use. Shane hung this up for me yesterday and I put all my jewelry on it. I love how it turned out and I can see everything just hanging there nice. .

If I get anymore jewelry I might have to buy more hooks or add another rail with hooks. This one is now full! :)

RIP Tyree Wyatt

Last night we found out that a co-worker of ours was killed in a car crash yesterday morning. I was so shocked when Shane told me the news about. Even though I didn't know him very well it's still so sad that something so horrible happened to him. My thoughts are with his family at this hard time. :(

Here is the news article of what happened:

The Highway Patrol says it happened when a northbound Honda Odyssey broadsided a westbound Ford Ranger that failed to yield at Highway 82 and Missouri 13.
The Honda driver -- 34-year-old Tyree F. Wyatt of Marshall -- was declared dead at the scene.
The other driver, Harold I. Peters, and a passenger, Ester M. Peters, -- both 74 and of Springfield -- suffered minor injuries in the collision which occurred minutes before 11 a.m. just south of Osceola.

Half way through January.....

Can you believe that we are already half way through the month of January! It's crazy how fast time goes. So far this year has been good for us. We are looking forward to seeing what else this year holds for us. Hopefully lots of fun and exciting things! :)

A little update on my goals for this year. So far they seem to be going good now lets just hope I don't forget about them and things go down hill. LOL.

  • Organize the House  - This is coming a long very well I might say. I was a busy girl at the beginning of the month working on stuff around the house and getting rid of things. I still have more progress to do in the house but it's coming a long. Things that I have organized so far: Kitchen, Bedroom Closet, Linen Closet, Went through our clothes, Dining Area and Bathrooms. Now let's hope that these areas stay the way they look and not get unorganized again.

  • Eat Better & Work-out  - Eating better is definitely a work in progress but we are slowly making our dinners more healthier. I started my workout last week. I got up before work 4 times and did my work out. This week I'm going to start some cardio and switch between the 2.

  • Organize all photos into Photo Books - I have finally finished and ordered our last vacation book. Now it's time to start on the rest of the photos. Slowly coming along.

  • Build up our savings account  - This is slow at getting started b/c we had some stuff come up we had to pay for (Dental Bill and Car maintenance). I have faith that we will be at our goal account in no time. :)

  • Buy a House - Nothing started on this yet, but we plan to meet with the realtor soon (I hope!)

  • Continue pursuing Photography  - This has been slow so far this year but I have hope it will pick up again in no time.

  • Reading - I have started out strong so far this year with my reading. I'm on my 3rd book so far this year. Well 1 of them I'm still reading it's a lighting book on photography and I'm trying to take my time so I understand everything. But my series that I started back in the summer I will be finished with hopefully by next week. I already know the next series I want to start and I can't wait. :)

That's the update so far....Not too bad of a start for 2012. But more to come so stay tuned! :)

Book: Destined

I finished Awakened Saturday morning. It took me just a little over a week to read! It was really good. I'm got the last book of this series Sunday afternoon and started it last night. I'm excited to see what happened and how it ends!

Brief summary of this book:
In Destined, the forces of Light and Dark collide as their epic struggle focuses on Tulsa’s House of Night. Zoey is home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side – and preparing to face off against Neferet. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx’s gift of a human form, he and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together – if Rephaim can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father’s shadow.
But is Zoey really safe? Does she truly know those who are closest to her? And will love win when it is tested by the very soul of Darkness? Find out what’s destined in the next thrilling chapter of the House of Night series.

Hopefully this book won't take me long to read. I already know the next series I want to start and I'm very excited about it!

Happy Birthday to my Brother!!!

I can't believe that today my little brother is 19 years old!! It's so crazy that he is all grown up now. Kinda makes me sad. LOL. I'm so proud of him though. He graduated from high school and he works full time with my sister. I love seeing him grow up but it sad too. I remember him being a brat as a kid calling me names and stuff and now he's this quiet man just hanging out. LOL :) I love him so much I can't even express.

Since his birthday was during the week we celebrated his big day on Sunday. We went out to dinner to Margarita's, can you tell my whole family loves this place. LOL. Then we headed back to our place to do cake, ice cream and gifts. It was a good evening spending with our family. We don't get to do that as often as we should so when we do get together it's a good time.

my niece made the cake and cake pops for his bday. They were awesome!
 The table all set up
 The birthday boy!
 Opening gifts

 Make a wish
The family, aren't we cute :)
My brother and me. Happy Birthday!!!

Daytona Beach, FL - June 13-20, 2009

My dad is a big Nascar fan so we thought taking him to Daytona Beach and going to the Daytona Track would be so much fun for him! We had a lot of fun in Daytona and so did my dad! We did a lot of fun things there beside the track, as you will get to see in this book.
I gave my Dad and Step-Mom one of these books for Christmas too from our trip.

Book: Awakened

I finally finished Burned of the house of night series. Monday I went out on a search for Awakened the next book in the series. I finally found it after checking 3 different stores. LOL
This is the first book of 2012 I will be reading.

Summary of what this book is about:
Exonerated by the Vampyre High Council and returned to her position of High Priestess at Tulsa’s House of Night, Neferet has sworn vengeance on Zoey. Dominion over her immortal consort Kalona is only one of the weapons she plans to use against Z. But Zoey has found sanctuary on the Isle of Skye and is being groomed by Queen Sgiach to take over for her there. Being Queen would be cool, wouldn’t it? Why should she return to Tulsa? After losing her human consort, Heath, she will never be the same – and her relationship with her super-hot-warrior, Stark, may never be the same either…
And what about Stevie Rae and Rephaim? The Raven Mocker refuses to be used against Stevie Rae, but what choice does he have when no one in the entire world, including Zoey, would be okay with their relationship? Does he betray his father or his heart?
In the pulse-pounding 8th book in the bestselling House of Night series, how far will the bonds of friendship stretch and how strong are the ties that bind one girl’s heart?

I believe there is 1 book left in this series and I will be done with it.

I'm also reading another book. This is a photography book I got a couple months back.

2012 Goals

I finally have my list of goals made for 2012. I'm excited for my goals I have set this year and I look forward to meeting everyone of them! :) Normally I don't set goals or any resolutions for myself. Last year was the first time I actually set goals for myself and I stuck to them. So, I decided to set more goals this year and see what the year brings. Some goals are overlapped from last year.

  • Organize the House
We keep our house pretty clean but it could use some more work. I always feel like there is so much clutter in our house and it drives me crazy! So, I thought it's time to start cleaning rooms and organizing stuff.
I started on the Kitchen already and I just have 2 things left I want to do in there and I can move onto the next room. Shane and I also went through our clothes and we have a big pile to give away.
I need to get a list together of everything I want to do so I can mark it off and see the progress I'm making.

  • Eat Better & Work-out
I set this goal for myself last year and I did so good at it. I was proud I stuck to this and I lost 10Ibs! This kinda got lost towards the end of the year when we went on vacation. I want to get back on track now. When we made the grocery list for Sunday we made sure to get some healtier foods for dinner. I know we can do this as we did it for a long time last year. I also want to start my work out video again and get back into shape.
  • Organize all photos into Photo Books
I have fallen in love with photo books from Shutterfly. They are easy to make and very nice. I have started making all our vacations through Shutterfly and they have turned out wonderful. I have 1 vacation left to make a photo book for and then I can forcus on my other millions of pictures I have. LOL. I would like to keep my photos organized and I thought these books would be the prefect way to do so. Then I won't have just a bunch of 4x6 pictures loose and I don't know what to do with. I would like to make a photo book for each year of my pictures I have (ex. 2010, 2011). All my photos are uploaded to shutterfly and I just need to start working on our books. I'm can't wait to do this and get them all ordered! They are so fun to make and look at. If I catch them on sale they are really cheap to make and order. I'll post the books I have already made so everyone can see the fun of these!
  • Build up our savings account
This goal is something I have already been doing every paycheck. I hate not having money aside for the just in case things or the emerency stuff. I don't like using credit cards but if we have to for an emerency then we do. My goal for us this year is to have our savings account up to at least $5,000. This will make more sense on why it's so high with my next goal for this year. It seems high but I know we can do it! We have before and we will again.
  • Buy a House!!!!
This was something we wanted to do last year but it didn't work out like we planned and we are ok with that. This year we definitly want to be in a house. Our lease is up at the end of August so we plan to buy close to when that is up. We are both very excited about this. So, now you might understand why I want our savings account to be at least $5,000 if not more. I will continue to update on this of course as we move towards filling this goal. I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE OUR OWN HOUSE!!!!
  • Continue pursuing Photography
As most of you can see I LOVE Photography. I love pictures, I love taking pictures...I just love pictures. Last October I decided to start offering service in Photography doing photo shoots. Let me tell you this was a big hit and I have been busy shooting pictures and editing pictures. I have so much fun doing this. This year I want to continue pursuing more business in photography. Of course I will post all my exciting shoots on here for you to follow. :) Lets see what 2012 holds for my passion!!
  • Reading
In 2011 I did a pretty good deal of reading books. I'm almost done with the House of Night Series that I started and I just love it. I will be sad when it's done but that just means onto another series I can enjoy. There are lots of books I want to read so I plan on doing a ton more reading this year! I want to start trying to read every night before bed at least reading 1 chapter. Stay tuned for all the upcoming books I plan on reading this year....

It seems I have a long list of goals for this year but they all seem pretty reasonable and very easy to keep on track to accomplish. I'm very excited about my goals for this upcoming year and looking forward to updating as I complete them!
