Weekend Recap

It's Monday again and another weekend has gone. I hope everyone had a good weekend! We had a pretty good weekend, I just wish they could be longer. :)

Friday: After I got off work we went to dinner at our normal Friday night place Fronteras. It's so yummy and a nice way to begin a weekend with yummy food and drinks. :) After dinner we headed back home and hung out on the deck for a little while and had a couple drinks. The rest of the night we just relaxed and watched some TV.

Saturday: We got up Saturday morning and headed out for our weekly grocery shopping. We came home and was getting stuff ready for the brisket Shane was going to smoke. I decided I needed to clean and organize the basement so I did, which didn't take super long, thank goodness. It wasn't super bad but just needed a good touch up. LOL

 After cleaning the basement I decided to check out plane ticket prices for MX. We will be going to Cabo again in October! They had a good deal on tickets so we bought them! I'm so excited for our trip and can't wait to leave! We will be meeting another couple there we meet a few years ago! So excited to see them and hang out for a week!

Shane got the brisket all ready and on the smoker. Doesn't it look yummy! It was very good. We had a friend, my sister and nephew over to hang out and have dinner with us that night.

Lexan and Me, I made him take some pictures with me. When I asked him if he wanted to take a picture he told me "No". LOL well he did it anyways. Isn't he a cutie! I just love him. 



Sunday: We did some chores around the house and relaxed most of the day. Shane got our new picture and candle holders hung up. They look so cute hung above our couch (I will post some pictures later). I just need to buy some candles for the holders and they will be completed. :)
I got a sweet tooth so I decided to bake something yummy. I will post the recipe later. For dinner we had Steak, Cheese & Bacon Potato Rounds, Corn on the Cob and Bread. The Cheese & Bacon potato rounds were a new recipe I tried. They turned out really good (Recipe to follow soon).

That concludes our fulfilled weekend. Now let's hope this work week goes by pretty fast!

Pizza/Movie Night

I have been posting about Pizza/Movie Night for a few weeks now. We originally set this for Thursday nights. Since Shane has started making his own pizza dough it got to be a timely process to fix pizza and watch a movie. So we just moved it to Sunday night and tonight is our first night having it on Sunday. It should be a lot more easier now since we have the whole day to get the dough started and everything ready.   

On this cold fall day we have been lazy and watching movies all day! I have Shane talked into taking me to see the Breaking Dawn Part 2 when it comes out. So we have been watching all the one prior and getting ready for the new one! I'm so excited to see this movie and can't wait! We are off the whole week of Thanksgiving so we will go see it then! :) Today we got through Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Part 1 now we are all ready for Part 2!!

This evening our movie we will be watching while eating some yummy pizza is The Amazing Spider-Man. hopefully its good!

30 Days to Being Thankful {Day 9} - Weekend

Day 9: I'm thankful for my weekends. I work 5 days a week and can't wait to have my weekends to myself and my hubby. They always seem to go by so fast but each week I'm thankful I get 2 days off of work and I sure do look forward to them! 

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone enjoyed there weekend and got a chance to enjoy the wonderful weather we had!

I know I enjoyed every bit of it!! :)

Friday: We went out to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant Frontera's. Then I had to run to Wal-Mart to get a few things for a photo shoot on Saturday. After Wal-Mart we headed over to a friends house to sit outside and enjoy the weather and have some drinks. It was chilly but really nice out. I loved having my jacket on sitting out there next to the fire pit we had going.

Saturday: Shane had to work from 9-3pm. When I got up I decided I wanted to go sit outside and read my Nook for a little while. It was such a wonderful morning I loved just sitting out there in the cool breeze. After my morning read I had a name frame I needed to make for the photo shoot. At 3:15 I headed out for my very first Maternity shoot in Riverside at the Waterfall down there. I will post about this later....After my shoot I headed home to get Shane and we had to go to the store then we decided to have dinner out and try Dodge City Distillery. It wasn't bad but I still love my favorite Texas Roadhouse. After dinner we went home and hung out and watched some TV.

Sunday: When we got up Shane said he wanted to make some hot tea and sit out back. It was another beautiful morning! I love sitting on our deck! After we finished our tea I made bacon and eggs for breakfast. Yum! We had already decided that Shane was going to smoke the turkey we had in our freezer since last year. So he got that all ready and on the smoker. It turned out so good when it was done! Even the dog couldn't get enough. :). Once the turkey was on the smoker we ran out to get a few things. First stop was Bath and Body for some new fall wallflower and candles for the house and then it was to the comic book store for Shane to get a new one after that was back home. We hung out outside all day and enjoyed the weather. I look forward to more weekends like this and spending time outside! Fall is coming!!

Weekend Recap

It has been way too long since I have done a Weekend Recap post. So I'm hoping now to get back into the routine of these post. :)

I hope everyone enjoyed there 3 day weekend (well if yo got one). I just love long weekends and wish I had them every weekend!

Friday: Every Friday night we go to Fronteras for dinner and drinks. When we moved we wanted to find a place that we could go to on a regular basic and this is the place! We love this place. The food is so good!

Saturday: We got some stuff done around the house and a I cleaned the whole house. Later that evening we had our family housewarming party. It was such a good time and I loved showing off our home! I will be posting picture later on this.

Sunday: We did a lot of running around Sunday afternoon. First stop was the grocery store, then Lowe's, Hen House, The Comic Book store (yes my hubby has decided to start reading them), Home Depot, Target then finally we were done and went home. That night my day came over to see our house since he didn't make it to the party. After he left we cooked out steaks and had our first dinner outside on the deck. It was so nice! I love it.

Monday: Our extended weekend day off! I got up and did our bedding in our bedroom. Then we went outside and put together our rocking chairs we got for a housewarming gift. Earlier this summer got a little blow up swimming pool, so Shane wanted to put that up and hang in it. It was a hot day and a good day to spend the holiday sitting in a pool enjoying some beer. So that's what we did! Shane also smoked a brisket for dinner that evening and we had a couple friends come over.

Weekend Recap

I was trying to do this post last night in bed using my Nook Color but it wasn't working right so I had to wait until today.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed cool! It was a hot weekend but it's summertime so I guess it's time for the hot weather to grace us. LOL

Friday: We decided we wanted to do some shopping for the house Friday night. So after work we headed out to Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond and Wal-Mart. We didn't get a lot of stuff for the house but that's ok. We wanted new pots and pans but didn't find any we really liked. So we will keep looking until we find some good ones.

Saturday: I got up Saturday and watched a little TV then decided to do some packing. I have been do a little at time of the stuff we don't use. I got a couple boxes done that morning. Our place is looking pretty bare right now. Haha. The rest of the day we hung out at home and spent the day outside playing games and just chilling. Shane smoked a brisket for dinner that night and it was AWESOME! We had some friends over to hang out and play games with us. It was a good night. We got a new fun outdoor game called

Kan Jam. We got a heck of a deal on this when we were shopping Friday night. This game is actually a ton of fun!

Sunday: We got up Sunday morning and headed down to the Farmer's Market. We have been talking about going forever so finally we made it down there. We got lots of goodies fruit, veggies and seasonings. It was good trip. :) After there we went to a freinds pool and hung out there all day. It was so nice being in the pool with it being super hot outside. It felt so good! I look forward to more days like that this summer. :)

Weekend Recap

It's time for another weekend recap....I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the nice weather outside. The weekends just seem to go by so fast for me. I always want an extra day. LOL

Friday: After work we meet up with some friends to go have dinner and drinks at Frontera's. It's a very good Mexican restaurant that we tried a few weeks ago and liked. So we wanted to go back and have more! After dinner we all headed back to our place to hang out. We ended up playing Rock Band for hours into the nigth and it was pretty fun. It was the first time we had all 4 of us playing at the same time. We had the drums, bass, guitar and singer. It was a great time I looked forwarded to doing it again.

Saturday: This was Shane's Saturday to work from 9-3pm. So I decided to go to the pool with a friend while he was working. It was a great afternoon at the pool the water was cold but we braved it and got all the way in! LOL. I just love hanging out at the pool and doing nothing. :) I look forward to more days like that this summer. When I got home from swimming Shane was all ready to go out and do some shopping for the new house. So I hurried and got changed and we headed out to Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond. We got lots of goodies for the house. He got tools and I got decorated stuff for the Master Bath, 2nd Bath and a new rug for the family room. It was a good day of shopping and I'm looking forward to more! After shopping it was too late to cook out like I had planned so we just stopped at Five Guys and grab some dinner.

Sunday: I hope all the dad's out there had a wonderful day. Shane and I had a couple of errands to run in the morning after that we just hung out at home till it was time to head to his dad's house. That evening we headed over to his dad's house to cook him dinner and hang out. We had Fish, Red Potatoes, Corn and Bread. It was a wondeful dinner!

Weekend Recap

I meant to post this yesterday but Monday just got away from me and I didn't get the time.

So here it is Tuesday and let's recap the weekend.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the nice weather. It was a little hot but it could be worse!

Friday: After work we went to Happy Hour with a friend of ours. Then the rest of the evening we just hung out at home and watched some TV.

Saturday: I made pancakes for breakfast, Yum! Then I got ready and headed up North to have my very first pool date of the summer with a friend. It was nice just hanging out at the pool all day not having to do anything. :) The water was a little chilly so we didn't get all the way but we got in and cooled off and it was good. After my swim day I went home. Shane and I had a few errands to run then we grab some Original Pizza on the way home and relaxed the rest of the evening.

When I got home from my swim date I had some wonderful news from the hubby. He heard back from our Realtor and the seller had accepted everything we asked for from the inspections!! Now it's just waiting time till we close. I was so excited when he told me!

Sunday: Shane went and played disc golf first thing in the morning. I stayed home and started doing some packing in our kitchen. When Shane got home we went and had a pool day with some friends. I love the pool and I look forward to spending more time there this summer! That night we headed over this Shane's brothers for a birthday celebration for me and Shane's dad. We cooked out hamburger and hot dogs, play some bag-o's and just hung out with the family. It was such a wonderful evening to spend outside. I loved it.

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was very busy. This whole month has been busy so now we are ready for things to calm down so we can relax some. :)

Here is a recap of our weekend.

Friday: We didn't do anything Friday night we got dinner out, we had a free coupon to try a medium pizza at Mafia Mikes, it was some yummy pizza. I can't wait to have it again. After dinner I did some cleaning so the house was clean for Saturday.

Saturday: This was a day full of stuff going on. We hosted my sisters graduation party at our place. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, sides and cupcakes. It was a good party she had a good time and I enjoyed meeting some of her friends and hanging out with the family (Pictures to come). That evening we had a friends birthday party to attend. That was good time but we stayed out way to late. LOL.

Sunday: Sunday morning I did not want to get out of bed from staying out till about 1am. But I got up and we headed out to go to best buy, the battery store and grocery shopping. We got all that done came home to relax a little before going to Graduation that night. My little sister graduated from high school at 5pm so we spent our evening at the school for her graduation. I'm so proud of her! Pictures to come soon!

That about wraps up our weekend. Now it's back to the work week and I'm looking forward to our 3 day weekend coming up!

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a good weekend. My weekend was good but when my alarm went off today I was thinking can't today be Sunday again so I can sleep. No such luck on that. Boo!

Here's a little recap of the weekend:

Friday: After work we ran to the mall so I could pick up a new book to start. Then I needed to get my ring cleaned and my bracelet cleaned and inspected it was WAY over due for the inspection. But I wasn't worried because it was in good shape and nothing wrong. After the mall we headed home to spend the evening there. I had some picture editing to do so I worked on those for a little while then we watched some TV shows.

Saturday: Shane woke up and headed out to do some rock climbing and disc golf with a buddy. I slept in a little then got up and started some laundry, watched a show then finished editing a shoot so I could mail it out today. My little sister's prom was Saturday. I meet her at her house about 2pm so we could meet everyone and go take pictures before they headed out for dinner. She looked so pretty for Prom and we took lots of pictures. Stayed turned they will be shared soon! After she left for prom I headed to a friends house to have some girl time. We went to dinner at 54th Street and then just hung out at her house. It was a nice evening hanging with a friend. I enjoy those times. :)

Sunday: Sunday is our grocery shopping day, we like to wake up and head out to get it done. After we got that done we just came home and was lazy around the house all day long. It was raining and gloomy out so it was a great day for being lazy. I did finish up our laundry but other then that nothing was done. :)

So this weekend I came to a conclusion that I REALLY NEED to get back to working out and eating better. I relized after my sisters prom and seeing a picture of me I'm really not happy with my body right now. So, the only way to change that is getting back to working out and eating better. I know can I do it I just need to forcus and force myself to stick to it. The past few weeks I haven't been that good and I haven't really cared. But now I care and starting today after work I will be back to w orking out!

Weekend Recap

It's another fun filled Monday starting the work week. It just seems to come so fast anymore!

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Our weekend was pretty good some points were busy but we did get some relaxing in so that is always nice.

Friday: After work we meet up with a friend for happy hour had dinner and some drinks. It was nice we haven't hung out with him in a while so it was time to caught up. After dinner we headed home and spent the rest of the evening watching shows on the couch.

Saturday: Shane had to work from 9-3pm but lucky he gets to work from home. When I got up I had a few things I wanted to get done. I made a sample graduation invite for a friend and got some of the card stock cut so I can finish them this week. I also cleaned our bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It was in bad need of a cleaning! After my few chores we just relaxed on the on couch till Shane was off work. I just got my gift card for Texas Roadhouse in the mail so we decided that was a good place for us to have dinner. It was so yummy!! After dinner we headed to the store since we couldn't do it on our normal day Sunday. After the store we just went home hung out had some drinks and watched shows! It was a nice evening in.

Sunday: I had 2 photo shoots booked. The first one starting at 11am and the 2nd was at 2pm. So I was pretty much out and about all afternoon. I got home around 4pm and we needed to figure out dinner for that night. We decided to eat out since I was going to be busy all day I wasn't going to feel up for cooking. We decided to eat at Pepperjax's, Yum! We brought dinner back home and hung out there and watched shows the rest of the evening. I need relaxing after my shoots and all the walking I did. :) I had a good time though and can't wait to get the pictures up to share.

Now starts another work week! Have a great one!

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a good Easter Sunday!

It was such a nice weekend to enjoy being outside and great weather for the Easter bunny to leave it's eggs outside for the kidos to go find!

The weekends seem to always just fly on by and then it's back to work. I love my weekends and wish they would last longer. :)

Here's a recap of our weekend....

Friday night we has some friends over. We went out to dinner at Pepperjax Grill, I love this place they have the best philly's! Then we headed back to our place, hung out and played some cards Phase 10. It was good evening. I enjoy hanging out with our friends. :)

Saturday we tackled organizing stuff in the basement. It took a fews hours but we got rid of 3 boxes of stuff, 2 were just trash and 1 we will take to goodwill. We had to run to the store after that and get stuff for dinner that evening. When we got home I worked on some graduation stuff then got ready and our friends came over. We grilled out steaks and they were so yummy then we hung out and we played Phase 10 with them as well. That game is fun! It's long but it's fun.

Sunday we got up and went grocery shopping. This is our Sunday routine all the time. We like to get right up and get to the store so it isn't so busy and it's done and we have the rest of our day. After the store I went up North to take my brother driving. When I got home Shane headed out to go climbing at Swope with his buddy. They are getting ready for the climbing trip this week! I worked on graduation stuff while he was gone and did laundry. When he got back I ran to the laundry mat to dry our clothes. Our dryer broke on us a few months ago. We decided not to buy new ones till we got into a house. I want really brand new nice ones, I really want to the front loading one! We grilled out steak again for dinner, it was so yummy. Then the rest of the evening we watched our recorded shows to try and get caught up on some.

It was a pretty good weekend for us. Now back to work for 3 days this week then we are heading out Thursday morning to Arkansas.

10 days 10 things - Day Eight

Day Eight is about things I did over the weekend. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I sure did, it was so nice all weekend. I'm going to miss these days as winter will one day be here. 

1. Happy Hour...Friday after work we meet up with a friend for happy hour @ Johnny's 

2. Christmas Shopping...Saturday morning we got up and went and did some Christmas  shopping. We only did this because one thing was on sale we wanted to get then we also had a 25% entire purchase coupon we had to use. 1 person down for Christmas!

3. Photo Shoot...Saturday afternoon I had a photo shoot to do at Hodge Park. I have a great time. What for pictures to come later this week.

4. Drinks w/ Friends...Saturday evening we headed over to a friends house to see their new house and have some drinks. It was good evening. 

5. Sunday Cleaning...Sunday morning we got up and cleaned the house. Well all the house expect for the Bedroom that will be done later during the week. It was much needed to be cleaned.

6. Grocery Shopping...Every Sunday we do our grocery shopping for the week. Oh what fun. haha

7. Laundry....Sunday is Laundry day so I got all the laundry done and ready to go for the week.

8. New Buffet server/warmer...Before heading out for grocery shopping we checked out the Sunday ads and ran across this little baby. We have talked about getting one but not till we get a house, but this was a good deal and couldn't pass it up. It's regularly $52.00 and we got it on sale for $27. Sweet Right?!?! We look forward to using this soon, possibly on Thanksgiving!

9. New rug...Our rugs are much over do to be replaced. So Sunday while at Wal-Mart we decided to get one this week and get another next.

10. Walk...What a nice Sunday afternoon to take the dog for a walk. Love this weather!

Let the Weekend BEGIN!

I hope everyone had a great week, but now it's time for the weekend to begin! This week has been alright but I'm sure glad it's Friday. We actually have a pretty booked weekend but it should be fun.

Let's see what we have on the agenda for this weekend.......

Tonight we don't have much going we had a few errands to run but other then that a night at home.

Saturday I'm doing a photo shoot with a friends kid then that night we have a birthday party to attend.

Sunday we are getting up and heading to the The City Market. Neither Shane or I have been there so I'm very excited to go and check it out. During the afternoon I'm taking my nephew out and doing a photo shoot for this 5th birthday picture. Then we are heading to the T-Rex Cafe to celebrate his birthday. This was our gift to Lexan to take him to explore the T-Rex Cafe. It should be fun!

I'm really looking forward to both my photo shoots this weekend. I hope I do a good job. Please watch for pictures as I edit and post them.

During the weekend I will be on the look out for things to do for the photography assignment and challenge.

Good Times

I hope everyone had a good weekend and is now having a good week. My weekend was great I had a lot of fun. I sure wasn't ready for the work week just yet, but here we are again.
Last week we had a Thursday Happy Hour at our place. It was a fun time and I got to play with the babies there. Yes the babies get to come to happy hour. :) They are just growing so fast it's crazy. I love taking pictures of them every time I see them. It's fun to compare and see how fast they grow and how they change in such little time.

Saturday we had people over for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. We hung out outside it was hot but not nearly like it has been so we could stand it. We played some Bagg-o's, had some drinks and ate some delicious food! Shane smoked a pork butt and 3 slabs of ribs. Yes we had lots of leftovers but we are slowly eating it down.

I'm always taking pictures as you can see..... I just love photography and I have been trying to do more of it for practice! This summer I really wanted to get out more and do more pictures, but with it being so HOT I haven't wanted to go outside much. As people come over or we go places I always try to capture some pictures for fun. Saturday I got to capture some very CUTE picture of Baby Harper. She is getting so big from the last time I took pictures of her. She is too cute!

Weekly Overview

I hope everyone is having a good week. I feel like I have been busy all week but now it's the weekend and time for some play. :) My week has been pretty good the working part has been slow but what can you do. We have had a busy week, we had to take Shane's motorcycle in for some maintenance and then go the next day to get it. I HATE rush hour traffic on 435 highway. I was so stressed when I got off that highway. Last night we had a Happy Hour at our place with some friends and a couple babies. It was a good time I enjoy hanging out with this group and of course playing with the babies. :)
I have finished the book Untamed that I started reading a few weeks ago. I look forward to getting book 5 and beginning that! Look for my post as I begin reading the next book.
A few weeks ago I started working out again so I have been trying to stick to working out at least 3 days a week. I have been doing pretty good. I wish that it would cool down some so Kira dog and I can start walking again. She sure does love her walks.
This weekend should be fun. We did plan on camping this weekend but with the heat we decided that it wouldn't be fun. I don't want to be miserable in this heat and plus it's calling for rain so that would make it worse. We will plan camping again either next month or Fall time when it cools down. I always look forward to the weekend and getting to sleep in some. Tonight we had to go to the store and get stuff for our BBQ tomorrow.  I'm very excited about this and I hope the rain holds off so we can play some games outside. But no worries we will have fun either way. Tomorrow we have some friends coming over to hang out early afternoon till the evening for some drinks, games and yummy smoked Ribs and Pork Butt that Shane will be smoking. I just love me some smoked meat it always comes out delicious! Sunday I'm going to go to lunch with my brother and let him do some driving. I have been trying to go each week and let him get some driving time in so hopefully soon he will be ready to get his license.

The weekend has pasted....

Well here we are again another work week begins. I was not ready for Monday but here it is. No fair! :)
I sure hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a good weekend a busy one but it was fun.
Friday we had Happy Hour with some friends and that's always a lot of fun. Just hanging out at someones house having some drinks and of course playing with the babies!
Saturday my husband had to work from 9am-3pm but I did some cleaning and then we headed over to a friends house for some pool time then we cooked out for dinner. Dinner was good we had shrimp, chicken sausage and veggie Kabobs with Rice. Then for dinner we had peaches warmed up in the oven with vanilla ice cream and cereal over the top. It was delicious!
Sunday we did some errands, I also finished up my cleaning and laundry I didn't get done on Saturday. Then that night went over to celebrate his nieces birthday. She turned 15 on July 15th! It's crazy to think she is 15 wow time flies! We just hung out with the family and had some cake and ice cream.

Livestong Sporting Park

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I wish my weekend was longer. I was not ready to be back to work on this Monday. We had a pretty good weekend though.
Friday night we spent the evening at Shane's dads house and play baggo's (bean bag toss game).
Saturday I got up and clean the house (sounds like fun huh?) not really. That evening we went to the new Livestong Sporting Park. Shane's brother gave us 4 free tickets so we went and took 2 other friends with us. It was a pretty nice soccer complex. We had a good time. It was super hot but we lived and still had a great time. :) The game was pretty good. We didn't score till the very end and there was just a few minutes left so that left the score 1-1. We do plan on going back but maybe in the fall when this heat isn't so bad.
Sunday I went out to lunch with sister. It's been awhile since her and I got to just have some siste-time together. It was a nice lunch. Then I went back and took my brother driving. He didn't do too bad but he does need more practice.
