T-Shirts Organized

As part of my 2012 Goals I wanted to get our house more organized. I just joined Pinterest this week and I'm loving it! I have got so many ideas for organizing stuff around the house it's awesome! I'm trying not to do anything too crazy since we want to try and buy a house this year. If we do get a house I will want to do so much when we move.
I got this idea for our t-shirts off pinterest, so Sunday afternoon I decided to organize our shirts. I love this idea and it's look so nice in our drawers. I did this while the hubby was out climbing and he came home and I showed him and he thought it was a good idea. We can now see all our t-shirts without digging for through them.

Book: The Hunger Games

I started a new book on Saturday. I have heard many people talk about how these books are really good and you can't put them down. So, I decided to check them out. I haven't gotten far in the first one but I'm anxious to see what the fuss is all about. LOL :) The first movie comes out on March 23, I'm sure I will  be done with the book way before then so I will be ready for the movie.

Summary of this book:

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When her sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place.

I look forward to getting more into this book and reading what's it all about. :)

BIG Change.....

I have decided to make a big change to my hair next week......If you know me then you know I have been blonde my whole life and recently just started doing highlights in my hair. I was super nervous when I let my friend start highlighting my hair, but it turned out really cute and I have liked what she has done.
So, I'm taking the next step and totally changing my hair. I'm super nervous about this but at the same time I think I'm ready for a change to my hair. I mean it has been 27 years of being blonde, so lets change it up. LOL.
I don't want to post any pictures of what I have decided to right now. I will post before and after pictures once it's all finished up for everyone to see.

Just thinking about it makes me have anxiety, but I know it will turn out super cute. But it's hard not to be nervous about changing something that hasn't changed for so many years. But I guess they do say change can be good, so we will see if this change is good for me or not. :)

Stay tuned for pictures to come of my new look.....

Jewelry Organized

In my 2012 goals I wanted to get things organized in our house. I have been doing one room at a time trying to do what I can to keep things looking nice and neat. I found this really cute idea to organize jewelry over at Sonya's blog. So I thought I would do this in my bedroom with my jewelry. I had a jewelry box with stuff in in and I also just had necklaces in the boxes they came in. Not every organized at all! So when I seen this idea I loved it and wanted to do it myself. This past weekend we when to target and I found the hook rail and hooks I wanted to use. Shane hung this up for me yesterday and I put all my jewelry on it. I love how it turned out and I can see everything just hanging there nice. .

If I get anymore jewelry I might have to buy more hooks or add another rail with hooks. This one is now full! :)

RIP Tyree Wyatt

Last night we found out that a co-worker of ours was killed in a car crash yesterday morning. I was so shocked when Shane told me the news about. Even though I didn't know him very well it's still so sad that something so horrible happened to him. My thoughts are with his family at this hard time. :(

Here is the news article of what happened:

The Highway Patrol says it happened when a northbound Honda Odyssey broadsided a westbound Ford Ranger that failed to yield at Highway 82 and Missouri 13.
The Honda driver -- 34-year-old Tyree F. Wyatt of Marshall -- was declared dead at the scene.
The other driver, Harold I. Peters, and a passenger, Ester M. Peters, -- both 74 and of Springfield -- suffered minor injuries in the collision which occurred minutes before 11 a.m. just south of Osceola.

Half way through January.....

Can you believe that we are already half way through the month of January! It's crazy how fast time goes. So far this year has been good for us. We are looking forward to seeing what else this year holds for us. Hopefully lots of fun and exciting things! :)

A little update on my goals for this year. So far they seem to be going good now lets just hope I don't forget about them and things go down hill. LOL.

  • Organize the House  - This is coming a long very well I might say. I was a busy girl at the beginning of the month working on stuff around the house and getting rid of things. I still have more progress to do in the house but it's coming a long. Things that I have organized so far: Kitchen, Bedroom Closet, Linen Closet, Went through our clothes, Dining Area and Bathrooms. Now let's hope that these areas stay the way they look and not get unorganized again.

  • Eat Better & Work-out  - Eating better is definitely a work in progress but we are slowly making our dinners more healthier. I started my workout last week. I got up before work 4 times and did my work out. This week I'm going to start some cardio and switch between the 2.

  • Organize all photos into Photo Books - I have finally finished and ordered our last vacation book. Now it's time to start on the rest of the photos. Slowly coming along.

  • Build up our savings account  - This is slow at getting started b/c we had some stuff come up we had to pay for (Dental Bill and Car maintenance). I have faith that we will be at our goal account in no time. :)

  • Buy a House - Nothing started on this yet, but we plan to meet with the realtor soon (I hope!)

  • Continue pursuing Photography  - This has been slow so far this year but I have hope it will pick up again in no time.

  • Reading - I have started out strong so far this year with my reading. I'm on my 3rd book so far this year. Well 1 of them I'm still reading it's a lighting book on photography and I'm trying to take my time so I understand everything. But my series that I started back in the summer I will be finished with hopefully by next week. I already know the next series I want to start and I can't wait. :)

That's the update so far....Not too bad of a start for 2012. But more to come so stay tuned! :)
