2011 Memories

Another book done! I'm working right along getting all my pictures put into photo books. I believe I just have 1 book left and I'm going to start my 2012 book and try to keep that updated throughout the year. :)

Jordann's Birthday!!

Last Saturday we celebrated my sister Jordann's 23rd birthday. The family headed over to dad's house for dinner, cake, gifts and family time. Shannon made wings and potato salad for dinner it was pretty good. I don't like potato salad so I just enjoyed some wings. Stefanie made her birthday cake and it was amazing! So yummy! It was different I have never had but it was so good, it was chocolate cake with caramel inside and topped with cool whip as the frosting. Wow awesome! I think I will have to make this again but when we have people over so I don't eat the whole thing. LOL

More Organization....

I have been moving right along with getting things organized and looking good! I'm loving it. At the beginning of January I did some cleaning of our bedroom closet and organized things around. I'm a little late about posting on this but now is better then never right?! :)

Between Shane and I we have a good amount of books and they were just put in our linen closet but we finally ran out of room in there too put anymore. I have been a reading fool lately so it was getting piled with books. So I decided I would make room in our closet to put the books up. We had a shelf that was good for it and we really didn't need it after I did some cleaning. As of now that is our little book shelf. When we do get a house I definitely want to invest in a nice book shelf to store all our wonderful books. We might grow out of this space soon but I will fight that battle when we reach it. LOL. Also, in the closet I hung all of Shane's hats up. I didn't like them just hanging downstairs on the railing, so I got some thumbtacks and hung these babies up. I think it turned out nice.

When I joined pinterest I found this idea to see if you wear your clothes throughout the year. I forget where I seen it (yes I forgot to pin it), but I'm sure it's not hard  to find. Sunday I decided I would do this and see how it turns out at the end of the year. I turned all my hanger around and every time I wear something I will hang it the opposite of the other hangers. Once the new year comes and all the hangers that are still backwards then I will get rid of it. I know this should have been started January 1 but it's better late then never to get things organized, right? :)

So here are all my hangers turned and ready for me to start wearing. :)

My New Do....

I mentioned in my post last week about my big change I was going to do this week. I went Monday night and got my hair done. This time I decided it was time to change things up and totally redo my look. I was super nervous about this but after it was all done it turned out cute. It will take some getting used to but it does look cute.
I didn't tell Shane what I was going to do to my hair he just knew I was getting it done. So when I came home his was like "Oh Wow!" lol but he said he liked it it will just take some getting used to.
I looked forward to playing with my hair and see what cute styles I can do with it. I'm not that creative or good with hair so it prolly won't be much. LOL

I also got my eye brows waxed for the 1st time....That didn't feel so good. Haha. My poor brows were a little swollen and super red.

Hope you all like. It's definitely different for me. This is the first time I have ever dyed my whole head. 

 

T-Shirts Organized

As part of my 2012 Goals I wanted to get our house more organized. I just joined Pinterest this week and I'm loving it! I have got so many ideas for organizing stuff around the house it's awesome! I'm trying not to do anything too crazy since we want to try and buy a house this year. If we do get a house I will want to do so much when we move.
I got this idea for our t-shirts off pinterest, so Sunday afternoon I decided to organize our shirts. I love this idea and it's look so nice in our drawers. I did this while the hubby was out climbing and he came home and I showed him and he thought it was a good idea. We can now see all our t-shirts without digging for through them.

Book: The Hunger Games

I started a new book on Saturday. I have heard many people talk about how these books are really good and you can't put them down. So, I decided to check them out. I haven't gotten far in the first one but I'm anxious to see what the fuss is all about. LOL :) The first movie comes out on March 23, I'm sure I will  be done with the book way before then so I will be ready for the movie.

The Hunger Games

Summary of this book:

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When her sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place. 

I look forward to getting more into this book and reading what's it all about. :)

BIG Change.....

I have decided to make a big change to my hair next week......If you know me then you know I have been blonde my whole life and recently just started doing highlights in my hair. I was super nervous when I let my friend start highlighting my hair, but it turned out really cute and I have liked what she has done.
So, I'm taking the next step and totally changing my hair. I'm super nervous about this but at the same time I think I'm ready for a change to my hair. I mean it has been 27 years of being blonde, so lets change it up. LOL.
I don't want to post any pictures of what I have decided to right now. I will post before and after pictures once it's all finished up for everyone to see.

Just thinking about it makes me have anxiety, but I know it will turn out super cute. But it's hard not to be nervous about changing something that hasn't changed for so many years. But I guess they do say change can be good, so we will see if this change is good for me or not. :)
